2026 Regionals Marketing plan + resources are finalized

The NICA MarCom team has finalized our multi-event Regionals marketing calendar. We’ve also been busy creating and finalizing a new onboarding process for event sponsors, to support our awesome on-the-ground host leagues.

Here’s the overview…

The NICA MarCom Toolkit REGIONALS section has been updated. Need something Regionals-related? Head to the Toolkit and click the “Regionals Marketing” card at the top of the page, or scroll until you find our Regionals links. We’ve got logos, sponsor resources, and more. We will continue to add to this section.

We’re experimenting with a dashboard that provides an at-a-glance look at Regionals-related items. Check out what’s coming up this month, or do a deep-dive into future months and filter by event. This is a work-in-progress and you’ll see ongoing updates here, prioritizing info that leagues can use to help co-market the event(s).

We have a new, more welcoming way to bring event sponsors on board.

We’ve updated and finalized a new process and sponsorship levels for 2026 events:
    1. Once sponsors are identified, they complete an easy payment process using Zeffy (via Regionals website).
    2. Then, the NICA National team takes on the next steps with an onboarding form: we gather sponsor brand assets, send an automated email, and provide them with a NICA Regionals Sponsor Toolkit.
    3. Next, we’ll add logos to the appropriate places across our websites, event guides, merch, and collateral. We’ll track and update sponsors on our progress as we execute on deliverables.

The new systems provide a way for the NICA team to manage a complex influx of sponsors across three events with varying levels of deliverables.

Our 2026 goal is to provide you with a regular, in-depth update on Regionals at the beginning of each month.

This will be in the League Director Monthly Running Updates but also will live here, on our MarCom blog, so you can review it at any time and share it with any relevant Marketing support staff.

These monthly updates will include league templates and resources as we continue to develop them, as well as communications highlights and important dates. Sean will continue to provide information during monthly Regionals calls, and Em will join when needed to provide extra marketing-related insights/guidance. As the event gets closer, you can expect more regular check-ins from our team.
