Week 1 of Live Training

Thank you to the 30 league directors and staff who joined our kickoff Hubspot Marketing Training session on Wednesday! If you missed it, the updated Training #1 Summary Document on our HubSpot Marketing Page has everything you need. Our goal is for these resources to remain evergreen for future staff onboarding well after our initial transition is complete.

A few things before next week:

  • Next week's session will require you to be logged into HubSpot. We've reached out to anyone who hasn't signed in yet according to our records. Send us a note if you’re experiencing any issues! Tony is on hand to help.
  • We're adding an FAQ section and a blog feed of these weekly updates to the Training Page soon

Questions from this week's session:

  1. Who grants access to league hub@ email addresses?
    NICA National grants access to league directors, who can extend it to their staff at their discretion. For login help, check our Scribe or work with Tony.

  2. How do we archive/save our Iterable communications for future access?
    National has already pulled text content and campaign records for all leagues from 2024 to 2026, so your recent history is preserved. Review your content here (look for your league tab). If you need anything pre-2024, or want to save email proofs or images that only live in Iterable, grab those now. Iterable access closes permanently on June 20. HubSpot will have fresh templates ready, so there's no need to save everything for formatting reference unless you'd like it.

  3. When do we officially switch to sending from HubSpot?
    Not quite yet! National will communicate a clear date that leagues can begin sending from Hubspot. We're finalizing settings and marketing contacts for each league, and preparing "transition comms" for our audiences announcing the platform change and what it means for them.

  4. Have we solved the issue of including secondary parents in league communications?
    We're actively working on it. It's a multi-system challenge rooted in how Pit Zone is configured, so it requires attention in that system first. It's a high priority for everyone involved in NICA's tech work. We know this is frustrating and critical to your comms workflow. Stay tuned for updates.
